Dear friends and companions of CLC

Attached to this email you will find the promised follow-up letter from CLC in Lebanon explaining the situation in their country and the work they are doing with internally displaced people.  I invite you to read and feel their letter, now as we start the period of advent let us pray that the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love of advent really reign in the region…the birth place of Jesus.

Besides the letter from our brothers and sisters in Lebanon and their appeal for support we also send you a link to a video*. This video was taken by two Maltese who went to Beirut in October to see the situation and interview the people with their real stories.  The original mission was a YMCA mission to send and distribute aid, however, through some personal contacts they heard of CLC in Lebanon and the work they were doing.  The person you will see doing the interviews is from the YMCA and the person filming is a member of CLC in Malta.  Besides the members of CLC in Lebanon you will see interviews with families and children who have been displaced from the south and these are the people CLC in Lebanon are supporting.  Any donations (see the letter attached) will be going to support this work, these families.  They are welcomed in a Jesuit house but all daily necessities are taken care of by CLC.
